

HUNTING AND FISHING LICENSES
The Town Clerk’s office issues Hunting and Fishing Licenses for Madawaska/St. David residents and Out-of-State/Canadian customers.
A valid Maine Driver’s license (or positive ID and an Affidavit of Residency) is required to purchase a Resident License. Big and Small Game Hunting Licenses require proof of a prior hunting license or a certificate of Hunter Safety. Out-of-State/Canadian Licenses require positive I.D.
The Town Clerk’s office issues Boat, ATV, and Snowmobile registrations for Madawaska/St. David residents and Out-of-State/Canadian customers.
Boat registrations expire December 31st.
ATV registrations expire June 30th.
Snowmobile registrations expire June 30th.
If registering a boat, ATV, or snowmobile that has been purchased from a dealer, bring in paperwork showing the sales tax was paid.
If registering a boat, ATV, or snowmobile that has been purchased from an individual, a bill of sale is needed from the previous owner with all pertinent information.
A bill of sale should include all major details regarding the item and state that the item is being sold 'as is' according to the decription. It's imprtant that a bill of sale has signatures from both parties and that both the buyer and seller keeps a copy of the signed document.
